Sweeping is done to collect dust when the floor surface is too rough for a dust mop.

Find a broom that fits with your floor type.

Smoother floors can get by with synthetic brooms, while rougher floors may need natural fiber brooms to be just as effective.

Push brooms are used for large areas & corn brooms are best for corners & tight spaces.

A broom with a long handle is most suitable ergonomically. All of our staffs are using aluminium anti-rusty 5' handle for better cleaning / sweeping.

Start the sweeping process in the back corner of the room or area and away from the door or exit.

We use short, smooth strokes and sweep directly into a long-handled dustpan without dissipating the dust.

Keep the head of the broom flat on the floor at all times.

When using a long-handled broom, use smooth strokes to sweep away from yourself.

It is important in sweeping to develop a rhythm and ‘bounce’ the push broom to avoid rolling the bristles under.

Use the broom to sweep dirt into a small pile.

Pick up the dirt using dustpan before sweeping further.

Empty the dirt from the dustpan into the trash bag on your cart.

Tips for taking care your broom

  • Avoid getting your broom wet,it damages the broom and shorten its lifespan. Always make sure it is dry.

  • Our cleaners do wash and disinfectant our broom once every week, however we make sure that it dries thoroughly upside down, to prevent bristles from being bent or damaged.
